On Friday, 25 March 2016 the Criminal Court began the hearing into the case of the suspect of the bomb attack on the Wormer houseboat in April 2015. € 50,000 in non-economic damages. The Public Prosecutor’s Office has filed appeal against the judgment. On 28 August 2017, the hearing on appeal was started. In its ruling the Court of Appeal furthermore ordered the perpetrator to pay damages to the victim, awarding more than € 140,000 in material damage plus another € 60,000 in non-economic damages.
