Hearing in MH17 criminal proceedings resumed
In September 2021 the relatives of the MH17 victims exercised their right to be heard. In exercising this right, the relatives could not only tell about the impact of the downing of the MH17 but also share their views of the criminal offence, the question who is to blame and the punishment of the suspects.
On 1 November 2021, the hearing was resumed. Once the last relatives have exercised their right to be heard, this phase will be completed.
In November the claims for damages will be set out in more detail and the Public Prosecution Service is expected to state its demands.
