‘What appeals to me about liability law is that, ultimately, it’s always about people. In my practice, I represent both individual victims and their surviving relatives, as well as large groups of affected individuals. In individual personal injury cases, I build a personal connection with clients and strive to make a difference on a personal level. Class-action lawsuits, on the other hand, offer the opportunity to achieve results on a larger scale—and, in the best-case scenario, to have a societal impact as well. What both types of cases have in common is that they’re about more than just compensation. It’s also about recognition of what has happened to people, getting the help and support they need, and sometimes even improving the situation for victims in the future. That’s exactly what makes this work so special to me.’
