Become an intern or working student at Bear

At Beer advocaten, we work on cases that matter in a committed team. We assist (survivors of) victims in the areas of personal injury and mass tort.

We like to offer students the opportunity to be part of our practice and experience up close how we work. Whether you want to get acquainted with the profession through a student internship, or are already more advanced and want to contribute actively as a working student: with us, you get room to develop, take responsibility and make a real contribution.

Student internship

During the student internship, you will rotate fully into our practice. You will conduct legal and factual research and contribute to memoranda. You will also attend meetings, mediations and hearings whenever possible. You will have a regular supervisor for feedback and questions, and will work with several lawyers.

We focus mainly on students in the final stage of their studies, from the third year of the bachelor. In principle, a student internship lasts six months, for two days per week. In consultation, adjustments are possible.

Working Student

A work-study is designed for students who are already further along in their studies and want to actively participate in practice. You will contribute to ongoing cases.

A work-study position can involve more days per week and also last longer than six months. We will tailor the exact content to your profile, experience and availability.

We currently have space for working students with one of these profiles.

  • Communications Officer

You enjoy bringing overview to current projects and making information accessible, and you enjoy contributing to how our work gets out.

In this role, you will support the organization and structuring of work, monitor the progress of projects and ensure that important files and knowledge are easy to find. You will collaborate on presentations and communications, such as content for our website and LinkedIn, for example in Canva or PowerPoint. You will work together with lawyers and support.

You are a good fit for us if you:

    • keeps an overview, thinks ahead and takes initiative when something could be better or more convenient.
    • Knows how to convey information clearly and attractively, both in text and presentations, working independently and carefully.
    • work smoothly with AI and tools such as Canva, WordPress and PowerPoint and can showcase what you have previously created, such as presentations, visuals or written content.
    • wants to think about how we can better organize or make visible our knowledge, files and communications and come up with their own ideas.
    • A legal education (or one close to it) and feel comfortable working with legal content that you know how to process accurately and understandably.
