Become an intern or working student at Beer

At Beer advocaten, we work on cases that matter in a committed team. We assist (survivors of) victims in the areas of personal injury and mass tort.

We like to offer students the opportunity to be part of our practice and experience up close how we work. Whether you want to get acquainted with the profession through a student internship, or are already more advanced and want to contribute actively as a working student: with us, you get room to develop, take responsibility and make a real contribution.

Student internship

During the student internship, you will rotate fully into our practice. You will conduct legal and factual research and contribute to memoranda. You will also attend meetings, mediations and hearings whenever possible. You will have a regular supervisor for feedback and questions, and will work with several lawyers.

We focus mainly on students in the final stage of their studies, from the third year of the bachelor. In principle, a student internship lasts six months, for two days per week. In consultation, adjustments are possible.

Please contact us if you would like to do an internship with us. Then we will discuss the possibilities together.

Work-study

A work-study is intended for students who are already a little further along in their studies and who want to work actively in practice. You will participate in current projects and have the opportunity to contribute your ideas.

A work-study position can involve more days per week and also last longer than six months. We will tailor the exact content to your profile, experience and availability.

We currently have space for working students with one of these profiles.

  • Communications Officer

    You enjoy making complex information clear and helping to build how our work becomes visible.

    In this role, you will support communication projects, collaborate on content and presentations, and contribute ideas on how to make our communication structured, consistent and recognizable. You will help prepare and elaborate communications for the website and LinkedIn, among other things, and you will support the organization and progress of current projects. You will also help think about communication within projects: what do we communicate, when, to whom and in what form? You will work closely with lawyers and support.

    You are a good fit for us if you:

    • keeps an overview, thinks ahead and takes action himself when something can be done smarter or better;
    • be able to convey information clearly and attractively, in text and in presentations;
    • Works independently, carefully and in a structured manner;
    • get along well with AI and tools such as Canva, WordPress and PowerPoint, and be able to showcase what you have previously created, such as presentations, visuals or written content;
    • Like to think along on how we properly organize and execute communication within projects;
    • finds it interesting to grasp complex content quickly and translate it understandably for different audiences;
    • Is pursuing a degree that is a good fit for the role, such as communications, media, marketing, social sciences or similar.
